iPronics

iPronics Programmable Photonics, a spinoff from the Universitat Politècnica de València founded in 2019, is making the computational power of photonics commercially affordable. iPronics processors share a common hardware platform that is reconfigurable by software. This cost-effective solution enables the same hardware to be applied to a myriad of commercial applications including 5G communications, data center interconnection, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, biosensors, autonomous driving, quantum computing and IoT. 

The scope of this innovation project is to provide cutting-edge chip design and fabrication expertise to enable the development of a set of silicon photonic integrated circuits that would allow iPronics to explore the efficiency and scalability of their FPPGA systems.
